About Me

I am medical writer with more than 7 years of writing experience, who has turned my passion for science toward medical and healthcare communications. I combine writing with hands-on scientific and medical research experience to produce concise, accurate, and effective written materials in a timely manner.

Prior to turning to medical writing, I spent nearly 15 years as a research scientist in both academia and the pharmaceutical industry, earning my M.S. in Microbiology and Immunology from Temple University School of Medicine while working as scientist for Wyeth Research. My professional experience takes me from exploring the most basic of science questions in academic research to drug discovery research in large pharmaceutical companies to medical writing for healthcare advertising/marketing communications companies.

I became an independent medical writer in 2007. I have experience and am comfortable with writing in a variety of therapeutic areas, from protein chemistry to women’s health, injury policy to pain management, molecular biology to autoimmune disease. My services include both promotional and non-promotional writing, as well as providing medical strategy. I have experience writing for a number of different diseases, brands, and clients.

Together, my unique combination of writing, marketing communications, scientific research, and drug development experiences allow me to provide uncommon insights for medical communications and brand success.
